Course Policies


Student’s Role for Success (in learning material and making best grade possible):
• Attend all classes --- be on time, don’t leave early, and be actively engaged.
• Prepare for each class.
• Complete all assignments.
• Submit assignments by due date.

Attendance:
• Only excused absences recognized by Blinn College will be accepted. All other absences are unexcused absences unless the situation is beyond your control --- such as you were scheduled for a medical appointment during class time.
• If a student is 15 minutes late to class, it counts as an absence unless the situation is beyond your control.
• If the student accumulates two weeks’ worth of unexcused absences, he or she will be administratively withdrawn from the class.
• If you will be absent, late to class or need to leave early, please let me know in advance if possible.

Classroom Manners:
• No food or drink in the classrooms with computers.
• No use of iPods during class time.
• No use of other distracting items --- such as reading non class related books --- during class.

Grading Evaluation:
• Grades will not be curved, grades will not be dropped, and there is no extra credit work.

Assignments:
• All assignments must be completed on or before the due date. No make-up allowed.

Exams and Quizzes:
• All exams and quizzes must be taken on the scheduled date. No make-up allowed for unexcused absences. For excused absences, make-up is allowed and must be completed the next week.
