Description


Examination of color theory as it applies to photography. Emphasis on color concepts and the intricacies of seeing and photographing in color along with digital asset management. Requires visual acuity, accurate color perception, and good eye/hand coordination.  Must be taken with ARTS 2356 or department approval required if taken as a stand-alone class.

This course is not a core curriculum course.

Outcomes


  1. Explain basic color theory
  2. Produce color photographs
  3. Exhibit use of color as a compositional tool

Materials


  • DSLR or ICL Camera with FULLmanual
  • SDHC Card (4 gig minimum)
  • SDHC Card reader
  • Adobe Creative Cloud for Photographers (Required for Online, recommended for other modalities)
  • Material costs for paper and printing will be required in this course.
  • Additional supplies are possible and will be announced in advance of assignments.
